Designed and built by Carl Jules Weyl, architect of the Brown Derby Restaurant #2, the Hollywood Playhouse, the Gaylord Apartments, and well as many other buildings and Hollywood estates. In his later years, Weyl worked as an art director for Cecil B. DeMille Productions, then Warner Brothers.
