Built: 1913  Declared: 06/01/2005

Built in 1913, the J.A. Howsley House is complemented by the neighboring Hiss House. It was designed by the architect Henry J. Knauer and features a Mediterranean design utilizing a Craftsman floor plan and interior detailing. A porte cochiere is located to the left of the house and appears to be a signature of design by Knauer in that most of his domestic commissions contain that feature.
